February Program Meeting Collaboration

Our regular monthly program meeting will be co-hosted with the Sierra Club this February. The meeting will take place in our usual location at the Wolf High Technology Center, Chastain Campus at Indian River State College (2400 SE Salerno Road, Stuart, FL 34997).

Allen Dray, who earned a a Ph.D. in Biology from Florida International University in 2003, will discuss his research for the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) Mass Rearing facilities at the Agricultural Research Service (ARS)’s Invasive Plant Research Lab in Fort Lauderdale. This includes the use of Australian weevil to biologically control the invasive Melaleuca, a beetle to control the air potato and biological control of the Australian Pine.

Field trip hosted Saturday February 8th from 9:30-11. Details and registration will be available at the program meeting.
